It’s surprising that Flickr hasn’t had an application out for iPhone on day one, to help people upload their photos more easily. However, AirMe is a free app that’s stepping in to fill the gap.

It uploads your iPhone snaps to Flickr, smart tagging the location and place name where it was taken, and even grabbing the weather at the time. Presumably so nobody thinks you faked those huge raindrops / blistering sunlight.

It’s a really neat idea, and certainly works slickly too, supporting photo rotation and a full range of tags. There’ll hopefully be an official Flickr app along soon, but until then, AirMe will do nicely. Get it from its App Store product page.
