Ah, flashcards. I remember them well from my days of GCSE French, desperately trying to learn vocabulary in time for an exam. Thankfully, iPhone can help today’s students, with a nifty little app called Flash My Brain, which has just gone live on the App Store.
It lets you create your own set of cards to flash, using the iPhone’s keyboard to tap in the words, and choose whether they’re displayed in Latin, Cyrillic or Asian scripts (obviously, this is less about aesthetic choice than which script your alphabet uses - unless you are language-learning, I guess).
There’s also an online library that you can access, with 100,000 ready-made cards - “from taxes to Tibetan to times tables”. The app costs £6.49, and you can get it from its App Store product page.
