Online poker is still huge, and there are a number of multiplayer poker games for mobile phones - including play-for-fun and play-for-cash ones. So it’s no surprise to see iPhone get its first multiplayer poker game within days of the App Store’s launch.

It’s called Multiplayer Championship Poker, and it’s been developed by Real Dice. It includes a solo career mode with more than 200 AI opponents, but the real fun is in going online and testing your poker skills against real people.

Multiplayer tables support up to ten players at once, and offer live in-game chat so you can taunt / chat up the people you’re beating / losing to (delete as appropriate). It also connects to Real Dice’s existing Facebook and PC poker applications, which is pretty innovative. The iPhone version costs £5.99.
